Skybet League 2 promotion hopefuls Portsmouth are plotting a move for Bolton Wanderers striker Jamie Proctor, according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old striker is one of a number of players who Phil Parkinson is willing to let leave the Macron Stadium in this transfer window.

The availability of Proctor has alerted the attention of a number of Sky Bet League One and League Two sides, however, Portsmouth are the current favourites to sign the former Bradford City striker.

Paul Cook is looking to bring in the additional firepower which could lead Portsmouth to promotion which Jamie Proctor could do if he is willing to drop down a division.

The main stumbling block is that Portsmouth are looking to bring Jamie Proctor to Fratton Park on loan, whereas, Bolton would rather cash in on the striker.

With only two days until the transfer window closes, Portsmouth will have to move quickly if they want to acquire Proctor's services before the transfer window closes.
