Portsmouth have done very well out of the lower leagues in recent seasons, with signings such as Ollie Hawkins and Jamal Lowe who both came from the non-league scene.
Hawkins was a capture from Dagenham of the National League, Lowe came from one division lower by leaving Hampton and Richmond for Pompey. Both have turned into solid League One players and maybe even Championship next season.
The talent within League Two is evident to anyone watching the division closely, with many young players from the higher divisions dropping down, as well as those emerging from the youth teams of the clubs themselves.
There’s always the next big thing to be found in League Two, whether it is Marc McNulty or Christian Doidge from last season, or Kemar Roofe from a couple of years ago.
Here are two we think Portsmouth should be paying close attention to right now.
