The 20-year-old youth product has scored 14 goals this season and recently won the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for February.

Portsmouth Chief Executive Mark Catlin has confirmed that there have been interest in Wallace ever since Pompey exited administration in April 2013, but is hoping to hold on to his star player.

He told the Portsmouth News: "There has been a mixture of enquiries and bids, including some since the transfer window closed.

"People are testing the water and you would expect that because he is a good player.

"He is a great lad and one we would love to keep at the club but the two scenarios for Jed are he has got to want to stay here and everything has a price.

"I am always concerned about other clubs trying to take our players, especially one as good as Jed.

"As a player and as a person I think he is a fantastic talent and we will be doing all we can to try to keep hold of him for as long as we can."

It is not surprising to see a number of clubs vying for the signature of the highly-rated midfielder, and it won't be a shock to see a flurry of bids for the Portsmouth star in the summer transfer window.

Portsmouth are currently in mid-table in League Two, ten points from the playoffs and nine points from the relegation zone.

Andy Awford's side take on fifth-placed Luton Town at Fratton Park this Saturday, and he will aiming for a victory to finish the season as strongly as possible.
