Portsmouth will be looking to add to their squad where possible this summer as they aim to improve on this season's narrow missing out of the play-offs.

The men from Fratton Park would have really grabbed the headlines had they managed to get themselves promoted once again but it wasn't to be and so another League One campaign awaits.

With them one of the bigger sides in the league, though, they'll fancy their chances to attract players and they've already begun to do so with Ronan Curtis joining from Derry City on June 9:

The 22-year-old winger has signed a two-year deal with the South Coast side and in that time many will hope they'll seal their return to the Championship.

Coming from Ireland there's always hope that a player will prove to be a real bargain like a Seamus Coleman or Kevin Doyle and so Curtis should be looking to emulate that as much as he can.

The Verdict

Pompey are evidently looking to add a bit of fizz to their attack for next season.

Without Brett Pitman's goals, the Fratton Park side would have probably come nowhere near the top six and so if they can unlock ways to add goals from elsewhere on the pitch there's a good chance they'll be at the sharp end next season.
