Port Vale Chairman Norman Smurthwaite says it’s ”business as usual” for another couple of weeks as Micky Adams’ future is still to be confirmed, states The Stoke Sentinel.
Manager Adams revealed he agreed to a new contract at Vale Park last week but has now gone on holiday before signing.
Smurthwaite isn’t worried about the future of Adams or Port Vale as he insists it is a matter of when and not if the Former Leicester boss signs.
”I really believe Micky is going to sign. The time it is taking is just because of our overlapping plans. The chairman is travelling to Portugal for a Football League Conference, while Adams is on a charity bike ride from London to Amsterdam.
”But it is business as usual at Port Vale and we have a daily dialogue as chairman and manager.”
