Nottingham Forest have confirmed this afternoon that Claudio Yacob has left the club after 16 months in the East Midlands.

The 32-year-old played 16 times for the Reds last season but he has yet to feature under Sabri Lamouchi and it became clear very quickly that the Argentinian had no future with Forest.

The defensive midfielder did reasonably well under Martin O'Neill in the previous campaign but the form of Ben Watson and Samba Sow has ensured Lamouchi hasn't needed to call on Yacob.

Therefore, the Championship side announced on their Twitter that they had mutually agreed with the player to terminate his contract and that has enabled the former West Brom man to seal a move to Nacional in Uruguay.

Whilst Forest are flying high in the league, many fan feel that the team could have benefited from using Yacob this season and they feel he has been harshly treated.

Here we look at some of the comments to the update from Twitter...
