Bolton Wanderers players and staff have still not be paid their wages for February, with the situation likely to come to a head at 5pm today.

Journalist Marc Iles reported that although the full time staff have now had their wages, the players and coaching team are still not in receipt of their money for this month.

As Alan Nixon reported yesterday, they had a team meeting at which they demanded to be paid by 5pm today or their would be consequences. Those consequences look likely to be tested with money still not in their accounts.

They could refuse to play but, even more severe, if they're not paid by the 14th they have the right to end their contracts and look for another club.

It's a dire situation for the one-time Premier League side to be in, especially as they're currently fighting a relegation battle and need all the points they can get. Failure to complete tomorrow's fixture with Millwall, or indeed having to play it with youth players, could be very costly indeed.
