There is certainly a feel-good factor around Elland Road at this moment in time, and that was enhanced further when the Whites beat Swansea on Wednesday evening.

One man who played a significant role in that win was Pontus Jansson who netted the opening goal on the night on his 28th birthday.

Jansson started out his career in Sweden with Malmo, and it seems that the Swede still has a soft spot for his former side.

The Leeds defender took to Twitter to reveal that he was due to be in attendance for his former side's game against Chelsea this evening.

Jansson made 128 appearances in total for Malmo across a six-year-spell with the Swedish club.

He has a lot to owe the club as well, as they were the club to hand him his first professional start, after Jansson came through the youth system.

After an unsuccessful spell in Italy with Torino after moving from Malmo, Jansson has certainly proved his worth and is one of the key players in Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Leeds are on course to win a long-awaited return to the Premier League this season, and if Jansson can stay fit, then the Whites have every reason to believe that they can achieve that by May.

The Verdict:

It's good to see Jansson still following his former club.

Many players in this day and age, care too much about it just being 'a job' and are regularly moving clubs to further their career.

Jansson would definitely be good enough to play for Malmo nowadays, but he is going to be a crucial player for Leeds for many more years to come.

Leeds need to win promotion, otherwise their will be concerns that he could be snapped up by another club.
