Polled Stoke City fans deliver verdict on 24-year-old’s future

Gary Rowett is preparing Stoke City for life back in the Sky Bet Championship, with promotion the aim at the bet365 Stadium.

It’s been a busy start to the summer for Stoke, who under Rowett, have got to work already in the transfer window, with some shrewd additions made.

Rowett has the task of making decisions on a number of other players still on Stoke’s books, including Saido Berahino, who has struggled for form in recent years.

In his 18 month spell with Stoke, the 24-year-old striker has made 30 senior appearances, but in that time has failed to score a goal for the Potters.

Berahino was signed in a £12m deal back in January 2017, signing a five-and-a-half year deal with Stoke, which runs until the summer of 2022.

However, now, with new management in place at Stoke, we wanted to know if Stoke’s supporters believed that the 24-year-old had a future at the bet365 Stadium, or if they expected him to leave.

61% of voters in our FLW poll believe that Berahino could well be heading for the exit door this summer, whilst 39% don’t expect Rowett to offload the striker.
