Jamal Blackman’s arrival at Elland Road earlier this week concluded one area of Leeds United’s summer transfer business.

Leeds had been desperate to add a new goalkeeper to their squad, with confirmation coming yesterday that Blackman had arrived on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

The 24-year-old arrives and will compete with Bailey Peacock-Farrell for a starting berth next season, with Marcelo Bielsa having two very promising goalkeepers on the books now.

Peacock-Farrell finished last season in fine form, with the 21-year-old impressing under Paul Heckingbottom, who placed his faith in the youngster after Felix Wiedwald’s disappointing run of form.

Here at FLW, we wanted to know if Leeds’ supporters believe Blackman’s arrival will impact Peacock-Farrell and stunt his development.

Voting in our poll was close, with Leeds’ supporters clearly undecided on what Blackman’s arrival will do for Peacock-Farrell’s development.

56% of voters are expecting the youngster to brush off Blackman’s arrival, whilst the remaining 44% of voters believe that the arrival of the Chelsea loanee could stunt their own goalkeeper’s development next season.
