Frank Lampard is currently preparing for his first year in management, with the ex-England international taking charge of Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship.

It’s been a slow start to the summer for Derby and Lampard, with a lot of work still to be done between now and the start of August, when the season kicks off.

Lampard will be looking to reshape the squad he’s inherited from Gary Rowett, with reports linking the Rams with Martyn Waghorn.

The Rams are reportedly favourites to sign the Ipswich Town forward, who enjoyed a fine first 12 months at Portman Road.

The 28-year-old scored 16 goals in the Championship last season, registering a further 11 assists, proving to be one of the division’s most influential players across the 2017/18 campaign.

Here at FLW, we wanted to know how Derby’s supporters felt about their reported pursuit of Waghorn, asking whether they would be pleased if the forward arrived ahead of next season.

Voting in our poll was close, with 60% against Lampard making a move to sign the 28-year-old.

The remaining 40% would be pleased to see Waghorn arrive, with sections of Derby’s fanbase clearly divided over the forward.
