Aston Villa were left frustrated earlier this month by their failure to land the signature of Joe Bryan, who instead headed to the Premier League to link up with Fulham.

Left-back has become a problem position over the last 12 months for Villa, with Steve Bruce putting little faith in Neil Taylor and asking Alan Hutton to deputise on his weaker side.

Bryan snubbed a move to Villa Park in favour of Craven Cottage, and Villa are yet to source an alternative, with Hutton continuing to deputise.

One man we believe Villa should consider is Sam McQueen, the Southampton left-back who has struggled to earn himself regular opportunities at senior level.

Regardless of that, the 23-year-old is a good player, who could fit into Bruce’s side with ease, should Villa make a move for the Premier League youngster.

Here at FLW, we wanted to know if Villa’s supporters would back a move for McQueen.

Villa’s supporters seem torn on the suggestion they should move for McQueen, with voting in our poll split.

54% believe that Bruce should make his move to sign the left-back, whilst the other 46% voting in our poll are against a move for the Southampton man.
