‘Pointless’, ‘Strange one for me’ – Many Stoke City fans react to recent transfer link

Many Stoke City fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the club are considering a move for Gillingham goalkeeper Jack Bonham this summer.

As reported by football journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter earlier today, the Potters are said to be lining up an offer for the 27-year-old, with the player being set to leave Priestfield at the end of this month.

Bonham was a regular for the Gills last season and made 48 appearances for the Kent club across all competitions as they recorded a respectable finish in Sky Bet League One.

The Stevenage born shot stopper would be brought in to the Bet365 Stadium in order to provide competition for the likes of Adam Davies and Joe Bursik.

Naturally the news of Bonham potentially signing prompted plenty of reaction from the Stoke City faithful on social media.
