Tottenham Hotspur are one of the UK's biggest teams and you can certainly expect them to be in the hunt for the Premier League title this season, under the guidance of Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs have had a wonderful start to this seasons Premier League campaign and are currently the only unbeaten team left in the division, after taking 5 wins and 5 draws from the opening 10 league games.

Top clubs now focus most of their recruitment on overseas players however, their is risks attached to this such as the player not being able to adapt to the physicality and pace of the English game or even the culture of the country.

In my opinion, there is a ready made market of players in the Championship who have the talent to play week in week out in the top flight and should be considered by the bigger teams.

This article is going to take a look at FOUR potential signings that Tottenham could look to pluck from the Championship in January....

Ryan Sessegnon

Ryan Sessegnons

16-year-old Ryan Sessegnon has burst onto the scene this season with  Fulham and became the youngest ever goalscorer in the Championship this season, when he netted against Cardiff City.

The young fullback appears to be destined for the top and has already been linked to numerous Premier League clubs including Tottenham Hotspur themselves.

Sessegnon is an attacking full back, he is very good in possession of the football and possess excellent crossing and dribbling abilities.

The youngman could be seen as a project for Pochettino who has a track record of bringing through young players, and blooding them into the first team squad.

All associated with Fulham are keen for the wonderkid to stay put and continue his progression with them, although it remains to be seen if they can hold onto one of the hottest properties in the Championship come January.

Robbie Brady

Norwich City winger Robbie Brady is someone who Mauricio Pochettino should certainly be taking a closer look at it in January.

The Republic of Ireland international was courted by a number of Premier League teams after an impressive Euros, but a deal failed to materialise for the 24-year-old.

Norwich are adamant that they will be keeping hold of their prized asset but it remains to be seen how much resolve the club will have when the offers start flying in.

Brady is versatile as he can play anywhere down the left hand side, he has excellent technical ability and a real hunger and desire for the game.

The former Manchester United trainee has been capped 30 times by the Republic of Ireland national team, scoring 7 times in the process.

He could be a real asset for Spurs.

Will Hughes

Playmaker Will Hughes is already close to making 150 appearances for Derby County, having been a part of the first team squad since the 2011-2012 campaign, and since bursting onto the scene 5 years ago he has been impressing ever since.

Hughes is someone who has been touted as a future England international, and has been bossing midfield battles in the Championship for a number of years now, and i'm sure he would be keen to prove to everyone he has what it takes to be just as effective in the top flight.

Hughes is very composed and confident when in possession of the football, and there is a general feeling around him that his game would be better suited to the Premier League than it is the Championship, due to the increased amount of time on the ball you receive.

Although he would face a lot of competition to get into the first team plans at Tottenham Hotspur, under current manager Mauricio Pochettino they do implement a squad rotation policy and give most players in the squad a fair chance to show what they can do.

Hughes' potential has been recognised at international level by England for whom he has been capped 17 times at under-21 level, scoring twice in the process.

Ronaldo Viera

18-year-old Ronaldo Viera looks to be the latest wonderkid to roll off the Leeds United conveyor belt and is someone that Tottenham Hotspur should take a closer look at in January, as he could be a great investment for the future.

The youngster is already into double figures in terms of appearances for the club and continues to impress whenever he steps foot onto the famed Elland Road turf.

Viera has excellent technical ability, he is very comfortable in possession and rarely ever gives the ball away.

He is currently playing with the fearlessness of youth and is displaying a great hunger to succeed, something that will hold him in good stead for the rest of his career.
