Plymouth Argyle's squad looks as if it could now be over the recent injury troubles they have suffered this season, with on-loan striker Zak Rudden possibly being one of the players to suffer with a fully fit squad now available.

Rudden joined on loan from Rangers in the summer and has had to be patient for his chance under Ryan Lowe, however has been given his chance lately with a number of first-team strikers out on the sidelines.

But with Byron Moore, Ryan Taylor and Dominic Telford all returning from their injuries and adding to the experience of Joel Grant and Billy Clarke, Rudden could potentially see himself slide down the pecking order being the most inexperienced forward that Lowe has available to use.

The 19-year-old striker, who spent last season on loan with Falkirk, has scored six goals in 13 appearances for the Pilgrims so far this season, and impressed on his performances as he has been a good focal point for Lowe to use up top.

Plymouth manager Lowe, who joined in the summer from Bury, will be excited to see all six of his forwards fit and ready for action again, however it leaves him with a big decision as it means that the forward department on matchdays will be extremely difficult to choose as it means leaving one or two talented players out of the squad altogether.

Rudden will be disappointed and downhearted to see his name not even in the squad on Saturday in favour of the more experienced options that Lowe has to choose from.

Rudden knows that the right application and attitude on the training field as well as not kicking up a fuss while on the training pitch will be his best chance of earning a spot back in the squad.

The young Scottish forward has the tools to do well for Plymouth this season and Lowe likes players that work hard both on the pitch when it matters and on the training field.

Rudden is more than capable of earning a spot back in the side with the performances that he is able to turn in, however now comes the real test of his character.
