Plymouth Argyle are confident on keeping Reuben Reid on a permanent deal as they wait for the striker to make a decision on his future, states the PlymouthHerald.
Plymouth have got competition for the 25 year old who is currently on loan from recently relegated back to League One Yeovil Town. Portsmouth are also interested in the former Rotherham United striker.
Reid, started his career at the Pilgrims, coming from the Youth team, until eventually being sold to Rotherham in 2008. He spent last season with Plymouth scoring 21 goals in all competitions making it a successful campaign with the added Player of the Year.
Despite the interest from fellow League Two rivals Portsmouth, it is more likely Reid will join the club he started at and his relationship with manager John Sheridan, could be a big factor in his decision.
