It's safe to say that we've missed Championship football, and it's clear to see why as Luton Town and Middlesbrough got the new season off to pulsating start in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Kenilworth Road.

Middlesbrough took an early lead through Ashley Fletcher who headed home from close-range, before Sonny Bradley netted a stunning equaliser from distance, just ten minutes after the opener.

Former Sheffield United defender, Martin Cranie then put the Hatters into the lead, but it didn't last long as Britt Assombalonga equalised eight minutes from the half-time whistle.

Lewis Wing gave Middlesbrough the lead for the second time on the night with a well-struck effort on 68 minutes, before Assombalonga missed a penalty shortly after.

He was made to pay for it as well, as James Collins made it 3-3 with just five minutes remaining to see both sides settle for a point.

Plenty of Middlesbrough fans took to social media to react to their latest performance.
