Leeds United new boy Pierre-Michel Lasogga is hoping to make his debut for the club this weekend against Burton, as revealed on Twitter by Phil Hay.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist also revealed that the on-loan striker’s wife is also due to give birth to the couple’s first baby this weekend, which could stop any plans of a debut for the German.

The 25-year-old joined Thomas Christiansen’s side on deadline day last week, putting pen to paper on a season long loan from Bundesliga side Hamburg.

United have a host of options up front including the inform Kemar Roofe who has scored four goals in his last two games, so Lasogga wouldn’t be missed too much this weekend if he couldn’t play.
