Millwall continued their excellent start to the Championship campaign on Tuesday by comfortably dispatching Luton Town at The Den.

Gary Rowett's men have climbed up to 4th-place in the standings - their highest league position for more than four years as the Lions boss celebrated his one-year anniversary in South London with one of their best performances during his time in SE16.

It looked like being a frustrating evening for the Lions, though, after Ryan Leonard and Matt Smith both squandered golden first-half chances.

However, like so often since making the switch from QPR last summer, Smith came up with the goods in fourth minute of added-time at the end of the first-time, heading home Connor Mahoney's corner, only via a kind deflection off Hatters defender Martin Cranie, who was awarded the own goal.

The points were made safe late in the second period as the influential Mahoney produced a fine effort into the far corner for just his second Championship goal for Millwall - two of which have come against Luton.

Mahoney's time in London has been difficult up to now, but this was possibly his finest display in Lions colours - claiming a goal and an assist for the opener.

Millwall fans were more than happy with the winger's contribution as you can see by some of their reactions below.
