‘Please’, ‘We can all dream’ – Many Ipswich Town fans react to emerging Celtic links

Celtic are considering an approach for Ipswich Town boss Paul Lambert should they part ways with Neil Lennon in the coming weeks, according to 90min.
Celtic have endured a disappointing start to the season, having been knocked out of the Europa League and falling way behind Rangers in the SPFL title race.
Lennon’s side sit second in the SPFL table, 13 points off league leaders Rangers albeit with two games in hand, and they have won only one of their last five league games.
The Celtic board have publicly come out and backed Lennon in a club statement, but if results continue to dwindle, then they could be forced into making a decision soon.
According to 90min, former Celtic man and current Ipswich boss Paul Lambert is being considered as a potential replacement for Lennon.
Lambert has been in charge of Ipswich since October 2018, winning 32 out of 100 games in charge of the Tractor Boys. He has failed to take them back up to the Championship since relegation to League One in 2019.
Here, we take a look at Ipswich fans’ reactions to this speculation…
The dreaded vote of confidence 😬
I am distraught at the thought of losing Paul Lambert, the tactics, the promotion of youth, the ability to reconnect the fans with the club. Sadly through Covid it probably won’t take much compensation to prise him away, oh please gosh no! #itfc https://t.co/OGqMYbXenS— Ross Wishart (@RossWishart) December 7, 2020
Lambert is not happening #itfc https://t.co/e4D6HMqYal
