Leeds United striker Eddie Nketiah has sent a message via Twitter, which has led many Whites fans to call for him to stay at the club for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old joined on loan from Arsenal in the summer and has served as Patrick Bamford's back up for much of the season–to great success.

Nketiah has been restricted to two Carabao Cup starts and substitute appearances in the league but is the Whites' second-highest scorer this season, despite missing more than a month due to injury.

He has played just 24 minutes since returning from injury at the end of November but with a busy festive period coming up, the striker could be set to play a vital role for Marcelo Bielsa's side over the next few weeks.

It appears he is ready to do that, as Nketiah took to Twitter to post an image of him in the new Leeds kit alongside the caption: "Keep smiling, keep working!"

Reports have suggested that due to his lack of game time, Arsenal may look to recall the 20-year-old in January.
