Portsmouth star Jamal Lowe is continuing to dominate the headlines ahead of next season, with Wigan Athletic reportedly keen on acquiring the attacker's services this summer.

The winger was influential for Pompey last season, scoring 17 goals and producing a hatful of assists as Kenny Jackett's missed out on promotion to Championship via the League One play-offs.

Since then, former boss Paul Cook has identified Lowe as a target for Wigan Athletic, who were understood to be closing in on the signing of the former non-league star.

Jackett responded to those claims, insisting that Pompey are yet to receive a formal offer from Wigan for Lowe, with the Blues holding out for around £3m.
