Luton Town could be set to sign Birmingham City forward Isaac Vassell on loan this summer, according to reputable journalist Alan Nixon.
Blues are on the lookout for a replacement for Che Adams, who departed St. Andrew’s for Premier League side Southampton earlier this summer, and once they find his replacement, it is believed that Vassell is set to depart on loan.
And, according to Nixon, Vassell could be set to return to Kenilworth Road, and re-sign for a club that he knows particularly well in Luton Town.
Birmingham. In process of signing a striker. And Vassell will then go out on loan … and back to Luton.

The 25-year-old, who signed for the Hatters from Truro in 2016, went on to score 16 goals in a total of 55 appearances for the Bedfordshire outfit.
He scored 14 goals for Town in the 2016/17 campaign before making the move to Birmingham the following summer, but his time at St. Andrew’s has been forgettable so far thanks to injuries.
Luton have been very active in the summer transfer window thus far, with new manager Graeme Jones continuing to rebuild his new squad ahead of Friday night’s clash with Middlesbrough.
Here, we take a look at Luton fans’ reactions to this latest piece of transfer news…
Hope this is the case. You been wrong before?

By all accounts just waiting on Birmingham to bring a striker in before they let him go. Think it’s a good, risk-free, signing on-loan.

People will look at his injury, but i will be excited as adds pace and would be great seeing two out of him, Kaz or Cornick in the side.

Obviously there are risks with signing Vassell, fitness being one, and a potential recall clause but think he would give us genuine flexibility to go with 2 up front but can easily play on the wing if needs be as well whereas I wouldn't say CM/KLL are out and out strikers

I’d be happier about Vassell on loan than spending money on. Have always said if we spend it needs to be calculated and not for the sake of it. I know we’ve had a bit of back and forth on Kieffer Moore but I’d personally be more comfortable spending money on him than Vassell
