According to reports from The Sun, Sheffield Wednesday are interested in appointing former Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis as their new manager if their form under Lee Bullen does not improve.
The interim manager made a strong start to life in charge of the Owls following the departure of Steve Bruce to Newcastle United, leading Wednesday to three wins in their opening four league games.
But after two league defeats on the bounce, following a 2-1 loss to QPR at Hillsborough on Saturday, Bullen’s position is now under threat, with the Owls reportedly considering a change in management.
The 61-year-old has been out of work since the end of last season after Middlesbrough chose not to extend his contract, after missing out on a place in the play-off places and falling short of promotion to the Premier League.
Boro fans quickly lost patience with the Welshman after his long-ball, direct style of play, and here, we take a look and see whether Owls fans would be happy with his appointment…
Tony Pulis in and that’s it. Season done and dusted, and the next…. Wow #swfc

@swfc I am still reading Mr Chairman that you are looking at Tony Pulis I know you see his track record and think he can get up, but the football will be terrible, I just don’t want that for our club, please look to someone we can get excited about thank you

I'd rather keep Bullen in charge than appoint Pulis. #swfc

#swfc if we appoint Pulis it's a typical swfc move . No imagination , out of date and will be ridiculously expensive hire. We should be looking for a young up and coming manager who wants to build. Not a 61 yr old after a pay off .

My only concern with Bullen is that he constantly plays 1 up front when playing with 2 wide men. At home we should have 2 up top. TBH, is there a manager out there that can push us to top 6. The likes of Rowett, Holloway, Coleman, Sol Campbell, Pulis NO THANKS!!!!!!!

Makes sense Al. Especially as Tony's agent (the last one I knew he was using) is a former work colleague and friend of the charman's advisor @reluctantnicko
