West Bromwich Albion reportedly finished interviewing potential new managers this weekend and Chris Wilder remains a frontrunner, which has left many Baggies fans feeling upbeat.

Albion are preparing for life back in the Championship after they were relegated from the Premier League in 2020/21.

Sam Allardyce stepped down at the end of the season and rumours have swirled about his replacement in the three weeks since.

It seems the saga could be set to conclude as the Express & Star’s Joseph Masi has reported that West Brom concluded their interviews this weekend.

It is understood that the club have interviewed a lot of people for the job, casting their net far and wide.

Recent reports had suggested that Wilder, who left Sheffield United earlier this year, was no longer being considered but Masi has indicated that, in fact, he remains a frontrunner.

With the start of the Championship season now just two months away, you feel it is important that the Baggies waste no more time and install their Allardyce replacement soon.

21 things every West Brom fan should know about their club, so can you score 100% on this?
