‘Playoffs soon’ – Prreston North End fans revel in crucial away victory

Preston North End moved up to seventh place in the Championship following a Friday night win over Cardiff City in the live game on Sky.

A late winner from defender Tom Clarke was enough for the Whites to take the three points in what was a drab game in the Welsh capital, but a crucial win nonetheless for the Lancashire club.

The win moved Alex Neil’s men up to seventh in the Championship just behind Sheffield United, and it meant the Deepdale outfit extended their unbeaten run to nine games, a run which has seen shoot up the table and into top six contention.

Following the game, Preston’s fans were in jubilant mood, with many taking to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the game and show their pleasure at the win and the recent run of form overall.
