Tosin Adarabioyo is set to be recalled by Manchester City from his loan spell from West Brom according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 21-year-old hasn't been a regular in the Baggies starting XI, and has been limited to just 16 starts for Darren Moore's side this season.

Adarabioyo arrived on loan from title-chasing Manchester City in the summer, and there were high hopes for the towering defender who has a glowing potential.

But with the recent arrival of Mason Holgate, it seems unlikely that the loanee is going to force his way into the starting XI anytime soon.

If he is to be recalled, Adarabioyo could be sent straight back out on loan to further his development in the early stages of his career.

The youngster's future has been cast into further doubt, with it emerging that West Brom are one of a number of Championship teams targeting a deal to bring Bournemouth defender, Tyrone Mings to the club this month.

This would only push Adarabioyo further down the pecking order, which could drastically affect his development in the professional game, so it will come as no surprise to see the Citizens wanting to recall him from his loan spell.

The Verdict:

This is a frustrating blow for West Brom's promotion hopes.

Although he may not have featured as much as he would have hoped for, Adarabioyo was a useful player to rely on for Darren Moore over the busy set of fixtures recently.

He'll need to find a short-term replacement for the loanee so that he can maintain the strong depth in defence in his West Brom side.
