Speaking to Polish publication Super Express, West Bromwich Albion winger Kamil Grosicki has revealed that he remains in contact with Nottingham Forest ahead of the January transfer window.

The market reopening isn't that long away now and clubs will be eager to add to their sides where they can and boost themselves as they go about achieving their respective aims.

Chris Hughton, of course, will want to sign some players to shape the Forest squad a little bit more into what he wants and Grosicki could well be a part of that.

Indeed, he revealed that lines of communication remain open between him and the Reds, along with a few other Championship sides.

He said:

“There have been and remain contacts with Championship clubs, including Nottingham, and we’ll see what happens.

“It will be an important decision because I want to go to the Euros, but provided I am in shape. The national team is not someone’s hobby, but a place where the best Polish players should be.”

The Verdict

The Reds are still not playing how they would want to be but did at least get a point yesterday evening as they drew with Watford in the Championship.

A bit more attacking spark is evidently needed at the moment, then, and it looks as though Grosicki could be the man the Reds turn to in January to add that.

Whether the discussions go anywhere further remains to be seen, though, and it also appears that Forest will have company in battling for him, with the player confirming other second-tier clubs have been in touch.
