Stoke City got themselves on the board as they secured a point against promotion chasing Derby County.

The Potters put an early setback behind them to go into a 2-1 lead through Liam Lindsay's deflected header and then Scott Hogan's fine finish, but couldn't hang on as Martyn Waghorn got his second of the game ensure the game finished 2-2.

The point gives Nathan Jones something to build on going into the next few games as he looks to turn round the fortunes of the struggling Potters.

One of the big plus points for Stoke was the performance and goals of striker Hogan, who made the move to the club at the end of the transfer window after failing to get going at Aston Villa.

Hogan took to Twitter following the game to show his delight at getting off the mark, even claiming both goals despite defender Lindsay initially being credited with the effort.
