Many Ipswich Town fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Kane Vincent-Young has suffered a fresh injury which is set to rule him out for a prolonged period of time.

The full-back recently underwent surgery on a groin issue that he picked up in the club's 3-1 victory over Southend United last month.

In Vincent-Young's absence, Ipswich have experienced a mixed run of form in League One in recent weeks.

Whilst they were able to beat Rochdale at the start of November, back-to-back draws in their clashes with Blackpool and Wycombe Wanderers has resulted in the Tractor Boys losing ground in their quest for automatic promotion.

Although Ipswich were relatively impressive during last night's showdown with the Chairboys, they would have suffered a damaging defeat in front of their own supporters if it wasn't for goalkeeper Tomas Holy's heroics.

Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times after the game about Vincent-Young, Ipswich manager Paul Lambert said: "Kane is going to be out for a while.

"I've just found out myself, but he's going to be out for a while.

"It's a different injury to what he had.

"It came from the Southend game.

"It's up in the abductor area.

"That's going to be a bit of a blow.
