Hull City’s unbeaten start to the 2017/18 campaign was ended last night, as Wolverhampton Wanderers handed Leonid Slutsky’s side a 3-2 defeat at the KCOM Stadium.

Wolves maintained their 100% start to the season, but it will not be the defeat that worries Hull boss, Slutsky.

Abel Hernandez had to be stretchered from the field in the closing stages, with what has been described as a “very serious” Achilles injury, which could make him a long-term absentee.

The 27-year-old striker was key to Hull’s promotion in 2016, and had started the current campaign magnificently for the Tigers, scoring a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory over Burton Albion last weekend.

The severity of Hernandez’s injury is yet to be revealed, but everybody associated with Hull will be praying his setback is not season ending.

Following the news of Hernandez’s injury, here is how Hull’s supporters reacted on Twitter…
