‘Play all three’ – Many Ipswich Town fans get involved in interesting selection debate

Ipswich Town will face Bristol Rovers on Saturday looking to further push Wycombe Wanderers for top-spot in the League One table.

Tuesday’s FA Cup defeat to Coventry City saw Ipswich’s bad form continue after failing to win any of their last six outings in all competitions.

Lambert’s side may not have been in good form but they have remained in touching distance with Wycombe, sitting just four points off the league leaders.

Saturday’s opponents Bristol Rovers arrive looking to make a push for promotion of their own and they know that a win would see them move third if results go in their favour.

Much of Ipswich’s good form this term has come due to the excellent partnership and scoring form of Kayden Jackson and James Norwood.

The strike duo have 14 goals in the league between them, and they continue to look a threat, keeping the likes of Will Keane out of the starting eleven.

Heading in to the weekend fixture, one fan via Facebook group Ipswich Town FC Forum asked the question: “What do people think about Will Keane starting instead of Norwood on Saturday? Surely he deserves a run?”

Where did Ipswich finish in the Championship in the 2011/12 season?

Here are just some of the responses:

Callum Jarvis: Honestly feel Will Keanes our only hope, everyone hold his pony rail we’re going for a ride.

John Okeeffe: Yeah as long as its a 4-4-2 with Jackson. Norwood hasn’t been good enough and Jackson needs somebody up front with him

George Miller: Start all 3

Nick Tanner: Drop Jackson, play the best 2 strikers at the club… Keane and Norwood

David Sullivan: All three, what about that?

Kieran Allum: Keane and Norwood

Jnr Swede Harris: Keane and Norwood bring Jackson on for the last 20 mins
