Derby County full-back Cyrus Christie, a target for Reading and QPR, is also attracting interest from Premier League newcomers Brighton, the Derby Telegraph have reported.

It was reported earlier this week that the Championship duo were to go head to head for the Republic of Ireland international, but now Brighton and Middlesbrough are both thought to be interested in the 24-year-old..

The full-back joined Derby in 2014 from Coventry City and has been the Rams' first choice right back for the majority of his time for the club, making just over 100 appearances.

Nonetheless, the 24-year-old's performances have been relatively inconsistent during his three seasons at Derby.

At times, Christie has been a force going forward for the Rams, but he has also put in some poor performances and in 2016/17 he struggled to regain his place back in the first XI once he'd recovered from a foot injury.

Derby chief Gary Rowett has already added a right back of his own to his Derby squad this summer, bringing in Andre Wisdom.

The club last week confirmed that they had agreed a deal with Liverpool for the defender, which could pave the way for Christie's exit.

And with interest clearly rife in the Irishman, his three-year spell at the iPro Stadium could well be coming to an end this summer.
