Nottingham Forest have made some major moves in the transfer market already as Aitor Karanka looks to reshape his squad ahead of a promotion push.

The Spaniard has been significantly backed, with Lewis Grabban the latest big signing to arrive at the City Ground in the past few weeks.

Despite the many new arrivals, including former favourite Michael Dawson and club-record capture Joao Carvalho, the Reds are still on the lookout for new players.

There are no real obvious weaknesses in the squad at the minute but Karanka will acknowledge that the Championship is a tough, demanding league and he will need to beef up his options for that slog.

Here we look at two potential arrivals in the coming weeks that could wrap up Forest's summer recruitment...

The Bournemouth defender has been linked with a move to the East Midlands and it could be a move that suits all parties.

Firstly, injuries have prevented Mings' progress on the South Coast and he could now find game time hard to come by. However, he has shown in the past that he's a quality player with potential.

As well as that, he is versatile, capable of playing left-back and centre-back which could be very useful to Karanka.

Another player Forest are supposedly after is El-Mhanni. The winger left Newcastle this summer and despite barely featuring for the Magpies, he is a highly-rated player, evident by the other clubs linked with him - Benfica and Lazio.

He would provide real quality, flair and skill from out wide and has the potential to flourish in the second tier. On a free, he could be a real coup for the Reds.
