Leeds United beat Newport County 5-1 in the League Cup in August and travel to Wales to face the same side in the Third Round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.

With their play-off bid firmly back on track, it is likely that manager Thomas Christiansen will ring the chances, resting his key men and giving some fringe players a chance to prove they can make a contribution to Leeds' promotion push.

Kemar Roofe netted a hat trick in the aforementioned League Cup clash and is Leeds' top scorer so far this season but should get a rest here, with Pierre-Michel Lasogga getting the nod up front.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has failed to impress since his loan move from bitter rivals Manchester United and has attracted interest from Reading in recent days. However, Christiansen has confirmed that he will be handed a start against the League 2 outfit.

Other changes should include Andy Lonergan, Conor Shaughnessy and Vernon Anita being granted the chance to show what they can do as Leeds look to avoid another banana skin after being knocked out of last season's FA Cup by Sutton United.
