Reading are set to complete two deadline day signings, according to reports.

According to Sporting Life's Live Deadline Day Blog [11:32am], Reading are set to sign Kortney Hause and Jay Fulton today.

Paul Clement is hoping to add the pair to his squad ahead of the new season after losing the opening game to Derby.

Hause plays at centre-back and could be arriving to replace Liam Moore, who is trying to force a move.

The 23-year-old is down the pecking order at Wolves and is looking likely to complete a switch to Reading, where he could add to his 59 appearances in the Championship.

Fulton looks like he is set to move from Championship rivals Swansea City, despite starting for them against Sheffield United on the opening day.

The 24-year-old has experience with Oldham Athletic and Wigan Athletic on loan, as well as playing over 100 games for Scottish side Falkirk before his Swansea move.

The former Scotland under-21 international has only played 27 games for the Swans and now is set to move to Reading.

The Verdict

Reading need new faces through the door and their squad options will be bolstered by this double signing.

Hause needs game time to get back to his best and he is a promising left-footed centre-back.

Fulton could be a talent in the second tier and I am surprised Swansea are willing to let him go.
