According to the print edition of The Sun on Sunday (page 57) reported via HITC Sport, Premier League side Middlesbrough have set their sights on a double summer swoop for two Championship loan stars.
Middlesbrough are reportedly chasing deals to land Aaron Mooy and Aiden McGeady.
Both of these players have impressed with their midfield displays on loan in the Championship this season.
Aiden McGeady is currently serving a season long loan at Preston North End after joining from Everton in the summer.
The Republic of Ireland international has really found his feet in the second tier and his impressive displays earned him the February player of the month award.
Aaron Mooy, on the other hand, is on loan at Huddersfield Town from Manchester City.
The Australian international has been instrumental to the Terriers’ success and was named in the EFL Championship team of the season.
Both players will be sold by their parent clubs in the summer and Middlesbrough have watched both Mooy, 26, and McGeady, 31, with the hope of signing them.
