After an excellent season so far, Leeds United sit in fourth place in the table.

Garry Monk's side are one of the firm favourites for a play-off berth with an outside chance of automatic promotion.

One of the main reasons for Leeds United's success this season has been Garry Monk who has brought a stability and identity to the football club on the pitch which has proved to be vital.

As well as the success that Garry Monk has brought, a number of players have stood out, not only for Leeds United but in the entirety of the Championship which has attracted the attention of the Premier League.

Leeds United's industrious and illustrious academy set-up has seen a number of players break through into the first team set-up who have gone on to play in the Premier League.

In recent years, Sam Byram and Lewis Cook have both moved to Premier League sides after impressing for the West Yorkshire side.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen looks at two Leeds United stars who will be in the top flight before you know it.

Charlie Taylor

Over the past two seasons, Charlie Taylor has been continuously linked with a move away from Leeds United to the Premier League since breaking through.

After a strong second half of the 2014-15 season, Charlie Taylor's 2015-16 season was the stand-out season for the full back as he collected The Fans Player Of The Year and the Yorkshire Evening Post's Player Of The Year Award.

The summer afterwards led to a number of enquiries and bids from the Premier League which appeared to turn Taylor's head as Charlie Taylor opted to rebel against a new contract.

Although Leeds remain keen to tie the youngster on a long-term deal, it is increasingly looking likely that the Leeds United graduate will leave in the summer with the Premier League beckoning for the supremely talented young defender.

Leeds United did well to resist a number of high money bids in the January transfer window from West Bromwich Albion for the 23-year-old left back.

It is seemingly inevitable that Charlie Taylor will leave this summer and it almost certainly destined to be to the top flight.

Ronaldo Vieira

Of the latest generation of academy graduates, Ronaldo Vieira has been the standout star as he has broken through this season to become a first team regular.

Considering the midfield competition that Vieira has faced this season, it is impressive that he has become a regular in Garry Monk's side especially considering the success Leeds United have had this season.

As Vieira has made twenty-five appearances in the Championship this season, he has proved that he is more than capable performing at this level, despite being only 18-years-old.

Already, despite this being his full debut season in senior football, Ronaldo Vieira is attracting attention from the Premier League with a number of sides scouting the Guinea-Bissau midfielder.

Compared to Charlie Taylor, Ronaldo Vieira is still a raw talent who will mature the more he plays.

However, if Viera can continue to impress and perform at such a high level then he will be Premier League bound and destined to play in the top flight.
