West Brom will be looking to bounce back from Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Fulham when they take on struggling Hull City at The Hawthorns this evening.

Valerien Ismael's men have had a good start to the season but three defeats in their past five games has seen the team lose ground in the race for a top two finish.

The latest of those defeats, at Craven Cottage, was a tough one for Albion to take, with the fans aggrieved at several decisions that went against them.

Nevertheless, the focus now is on Hull, with the Tigers arriving in the Midlands having failed to win, or score, in their past six away games. Therefore, it's seen as a home banker and here we look at the XI Ismael is likely to go with...

Sam Johnstone is sure to start in goal, with Semi Ajayi, Kyle Bartley and Matt Clarke establishing themselves as the first-choice back three, so they will start again, along with the reliable Conor Townsend at left wing-back.

On the opposite flank, Ismael has a decision to make, as Darnell Furlong was sent off against the Cottagers.

With Hull likely to sit back, winger Matt Phillips is likely to replace the former QPR man, and he will provide an attacking outlet down the flank.

In midfield, the boss has another big call with Alex Mowatt again absent through injury. In hindsight, Ismael probably regrets not partnering Jayson Molumby with skipper Jake Livermore against Fulham, as Robert Snodgrass struggled and was at fault for a goal.

But, with Albion likely to dominate tonight, the creativity and composure the Scotsman has will be needed, so he should keep his place.

Some fans would rather see Molumby over Livermore in the centre of the park, but the reality is that the influential 31-year-old is sure to start.

Up top, Grady Diangana and Callum Robinson should start after substitute appearances last time out in order to freshen things up, whilst top scorer Karlan Grant is sure to keep his place, meaning Jordan Hugill drops to the bench.
