Derby County boss Phillip Cocu has revealed that Kamil Jozwiak is out of tomorrow's game at Bournemouth but his injury isn't serious.

The Polish winger has been a bright spark for the Rams in recent weeks but there were fears that he could face a lengthy spell out after suffering an injury against Cardiff City.

However, speaking to the club's media, Cocu delivered a positive update on the summer recruit, although he won't be making the trip to the south coast with the team.

"He's doing quite well, but he won't be travelling with us to Bournemouth - it's too soon. I think he will be available for Wednesday, but we have to judge that. It is a relief though, that it isn't too bad."

Jozwiak has featured in six games for the Rams this season and even though he has registered just one assist he has been very bright with his play.

So, the fact he could be involved against QPR at Pride Park on Wednesday will be very welcome for the Dutch coach.

The verdict

Of course, it's not ideal that Jozwiak will miss tomorrow's game but in the bigger picture it's a relief that he doesn't have a serious injury.

The wide man already seems like an important player for the team and the lack of goals in the final third means that he will have a big role to play moving forward.

Whoever gets the nod tomorrow will have to impress to keep the shirt and Derby need the points after a poor start.
