Amazon Prime are planning a second series of the Leeds United docu-series 'Take Us Home' and filming has been underway since the start of the season, according to Phil Hay from The Athletic

The first series was released back in August and documented the 2018/19 season–Marcelo Bielsa's first campaign in charge.

It was a turbulent year for the Whites, they spent much of the season in the automatic promotion places but a late slump in form saw them slip down into third.

They were then beaten by Derby County in the play-off semi-final, surrendering a lead in the second leg in a nightmarish evening at Pride Park.

The series provided behind the scenes footage and interviews from the club's rollercoaster season, including coverage during the 'Spygate' saga.

The Whites were unable to end their 15-year absence from the Premier League last term but with Bielsa still at the helm, they're mounting another promotion push in this campaign.

It appears that too will be documented as Hay revealed in a Q&A for The Athletic that a second series of 'Take Us Home' was in planning.

When asked if the cameras were still rolling in the 2019/20 campaign, he replied: "Yes. Season two is planned by Amazon."

He added: "Probably not a thriller so far though."

Leeds are well set to make another serious promotion challenge and are third as things stand, two points behind league leaders West Bromwich Albion.

The Verdict

This will likely be exciting news for the majority of Leeds fans, as the series provided a really interesting and in-depth look at the club.

However, there will no doubt be some supporters that are concerned about having to watch back the season if they fail to get promoted once again.

For neutrals, it looks set to be another exciting series either way.
