Leeds United could be set to receive potential investment, with The Times reporting that Andrea Radrizzani is considering three offers to take the club forward.

It is also claimed that one of the offers on the table could help the Yorkshire-based club compete financially with Manchester City, who have spent a considerable amount of money on new players in recent years.

There had been previous talk of a potential takeover at Elland Road from QSI (Qatar Sports Investment) who also own European giants PSG.

Radrizzani revealed that QSI were one of the interested parties again, and claims they have the potential to help Leeds compete with Manchester City in the future.

"The option of Qatar Sports Investment and Nasser - first of all they are friends, we have had a good relationship for a long time.

"Secondly, they have the possibility to bring this club to compete with Manchester City, so for the fans that could be a fantastic opportunity."

The Athletic's Phil Hay has issued his thoughts on this recent report, which is certain to excite the Elland Road faithful over the international break.

It remains to be seen as to what outcome will be reached over any potential agreement, but a lot of it could depend on whether the Whites win promotion back into the top-flight.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are currently sat fifth in the Championship table, and will be targeting a long-awaited return to the Premier League this term.

Leeds will be turning their attention to getting back to winning ways on Saturday though, as they take on Birmingham City, in what will be a tough test for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

The Verdict:

It's an exciting time ahead for Leeds United.

It's not the first time we've heard of potential investment that could be coming their way in the future, but the Elland Road faithful can't afford to get ahead of themselves.

For any of this to happen though, it seems as though Leeds need to win promotion back into the Premier League first though, as they won't be attracting interest if they're condemned to yet another season in the Championship.
