Leeds United’s Hadi Sacko will leave the club this summer with the winger not in Marcelo Bielsa’s plans moving forward.
The 25-year-old was sent out on loan to Las Palmas last year after he seemingly failed to impress the Argentinian in pre-season following his appointment at Elland Road.
His spell in Spain didn’t work out though, with the La Liga 2 side terminating his loan in January, which saw Sacko spend the second half of the campaign on loan with Ankaragucu in the Turkish top-flight.
And, the Mali international did reasonably well there, featuring regularly and scoring three goals for his new side.
However, that doesn’t appear to have had any impact on key figures at Leeds, with journalist Phil Hay revealing on Twitter that the wide man will depart, when responding to a question from a Whites fan.
Reports from Turkey have suggested that newly-promoted Super Lig side Denizlispor are looking to bring in Sacko immediately, although they didn’t state whether the player would leave Elland Road on another loan or on a permanent basis.
This is not news that will surprise Leeds fans as it is clear that Sacko has no future under the current regime.
He only showed flashes of his talent when playing for the Whites and was too inconsistent. Plus, the Leeds side right now are in a much better place than the one he initially joined.
Therefore, a move suits all parties and fans will be pleased that the club are clearing space in the squad after making some signings.
Ideally, they will want Sacko to leave on a permanent transfer so it will be interesting to see what happens in the coming days.
