QPR manager Mark Warburton has denied claims he is set to leave the club and reiterated his complete commitment to the club, which has drawn an excited response from many fans.
The Sun reported yesterday that the R’s boss was set to leave his current role to become the assistant technical director of the FA.
That article has since been deleted by the publication, though traces of it are still available online.
The west London club have been quick to offer their response, releasing a statement in which both Warburton and CEO Lee Hoos rejected the claims.
“I don’t know where this has come from,” said the R’s boss. “There isn’t a grain of truth in it.
“I’m completely committed to QPR and am focused on the job in hand.”
Hoos added: “Mark Warburton is not leaving for The FA.
“It’s a pity the publication did not bother checking their facts before releasing the article which is so wide of the mark.”
Both the report and the R’s response emerged after their 1-0 victory against promotion-chasing Swansea City last night.
Lyndon Dykes’ late winner saw Warburton’s side take all three points and climb into eighth in the Championship.
With a nine-point gap to make up and just three games to play, the top six looks out of bounds for them.

It seems there’s still a fair amount of positivity surrounding the west London club and many supporters took to Twitter to voice their relief and excitement at the update concerning Warburton.
