HITC Sport understands that Peterborough United are set to sign Junior Morias from St Albans City in January.
Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony dropped a hint on Twitter when he posted that the club were signing a striker who scored a “scorcher” in the FA Cup on Sunday.
MacAnthony confirmed that the player will be arriving on the 1st of January but did not mention who it was.
Now HITC are reporting that the striker in question is St Albans City forward Junior Morias.
The 21-year-old scored twice for the non-league outfit as they eventually lost 5-3 to League Two high flyers Carlisle United.
The former Fulham, Wycombe and Boreham Wood striker has impressed since joining National League South outfit St Albans with 10 goals and 5 assists in 13 games.
The Jamaican has obviously impressed Peterborough United enough to earn himself a move back to the football league after a two-year exile in the non-league systems.
Still only 21 years old, Morias could prove to be a very good shrewd signing by Posh with MacAnthony comparing him to a young Aaron McLean.
