Peterborough have completed the signing of Mo Eisa from Bristol City, with the forward commanding a club-record fee from the League One side.

After just missing out on a play-off place last season, the Posh are looking to go one better and they have confirmed the arrival of Eisa on their official site in what is a real coup for the club.

The 24-year-old only spent one season with the Robins after joining from Cheltenham and it was a move that didn't really work out for all parties.

After arriving with a big reputation, Eisa managed just five league appearances for Lee Johnson's side and didn't score a goal.

However, prior to that he had netted 23 goals for Cheltenham in League Two and was widely regarded as one of the most exciting players in the Football League at the time.

He has now moved to the third-tier, with Peterborough revealing that they had managed to convince the player to join ahead of a host of other clubs.

The Verdict

This is a real statement of intent from Peterborough and they deserve huge credit for pulling off such a big transfer this early in the window.

Despite Eisa's struggles at Ashton Gate, he is clearly a very talented player and will be ready to make a huge impact in League One.

For whatever reason, the move to the Robins didn't work but he will now look to get his career back on track and this could be the perfect club for Eisa to do that.
