Peter Taylor has signed a new one year deal with Gillingham.

Taylor replaced former manager Martin Allen in October, with the club then struggling in the League following promotion from League 2.

Peter Taylor has signed a new one year deal with GillinghamThe 61 year old managed to keep the club up, with the Gills finishing 17th in the League table, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Taylor stated to BBC Radio Kent following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town.

“I’m really pleased that I’ve had the opportunity to come to Priestfield.

“And I’m really pleased with the way it’s worked out because we stayed in the division. I think that’s progress.”
