Tranmere boss Edwards made three deadline day signings

Tranmere Rovers have announced a third deadline day signing with the addition of goalkeeper Peter Brezovan.

The 34 year-old has signed a one-year deal at Prenton Park and will compete with Owain fon Williams for a starting spot between the sticks.

The Slovakian shot-stopper arrived in English football with Swindon Town and spent the last five seasons with Brighton and Hove Albion.

Tranmere manager Rob Edwards said to the official site: ““I’m delighted to bring Peter to the Club. He’s an experienced keeper who has played at Championship and League One level and it gives us good competition for places.

“This now gives us the option of sending Sam Ramsbottom out on loan to give him valuable first team match experience which will help in his development.”

Brezovan joins Matt Hill and George Donnelly as deadline signings for Tranmere.
