According to reports from the Star, Sheffield Wednesday are set to sign Queens Park Rangers midfielder Massimo Luongo ahead of Thursday afternoon's transfer deadline.

The Owls, who are also being linked with a move for Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy, are expected to be busy in the final couple of days in the transfer window, despite not having a permanent manager in place for the remainder of the campaign.

It is believed that Luongo is set to undergo a medical on Wednesday morning, as he looks to complete a move away from QPR after a four-year stay at Loftus Road.

The Australia international has made over 150 appearances for the West London side, scoring 10 goals and establishing himself as a real fans' favourite at the club.

But after entering the final year of his contract at Loftus Road, the 26-year-old, who was left out of the squad that beat Stoke City 2-1 at the weekend, is now set to join Wednesday.

Nottingham Forest and Leeds United had been linked with the midfielder, with just over 24 hours to go until the summer transfer window slams shut, Wednesday look to have won the race.

Here, we take a look at Owls fans' reactions to this piece of transfer news...
