In the midweek fixtures, Brentford shocked an out of form Swansea with a 3-0 win at the Liberty Stadium, bringing Brentford into 12th, four points off of Swansea and the play-off positions.

Despite being top of the table a few weeks ago, Steve Cooper's Swansea have just one win in their last six, along with three draws and two losses, to 23rd placed Stoke and Brentford. They now sit seventh, meaning this was a really important three points for Brentford who have won their last two and three in their last six.

A common story in each Championship season is that Brentford have performed well but those performances haven't translated over to the league table enough. Brentford often come across as a team a season away from promotion, but it hasn't quite happened.

Known for analytics and their owner, Matthew Benham, Brentford have strong recruitment and are great at making profit in the transfer market. Some of their players are already attracting interest, including three of the standouts against Swansea.

Saïd Benrahma, Julian Jeanvier and Bryan Mbeumo all impressed on Tuesday night in a strong all-round performance that Brentford fans know their team is capable of, but need to see more of.
